I was lucky enough that my parents got me a bunch of books I’ve wanted for a while for Christmas. I gave my mum a wishlist and she chose some from it, so she knew she was getting me things I wanted. Here’s my Christmas Book Haul:
#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso
I’ve been listening to her podcast for a few months and really wanted to read her book. Obviously it’s been super popular so there was quite the waitlist at the library. I think it will be a book I’ll re-read every so often, or pick up and read chapters of.
The Best Things in Life Are Free by Lonely Planet
I love traveling to a new city, and seeing the city. Not necessarily the touristy parts, just the true city. This book should give me plenty of pointers as to where I could start in so many cities around the world.
Pretty Iconic by Sali Hughes
This is Hughes’ second book, all about the iconic beauty products you should know about. I can’t wait to read it to objectively choose my beauty wishlist.
Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes
This book has been described as being the straight talking beauty coffee table book. Three things, all very me. I can’t want to rip into this one and see what I think.
Bloom by Estee Lalonde
I have watched Estee’s YouTube channel and read her blog for a long time now, so was so stoked to read her book. I really want to delve deep, both to learn about her, but also her tips and tricks.
Nib + Ink by Chiara Parano
I really want to learn calligraphy. It’s a skill I really admire, but also, I’d love to have the skills to create beautiful invitations and edit my own designs with writing. I have already started reading this, and I’m relly enjoying it.
Mexico: The Cookbook by Margarita Carrillo Arronte
I love a beautiful cookbook, but I saw this one in a bookstore and wanted it, mostly by the cover, but also by sheer volume. It has over 700 recipes! I have already tagged so many to try soon because they sound amazing. They also have real ingredients, which I love, not much sugar or flavourings throughout the whole thing.
What did you get for Christmas? What book do you want to buy soon?
